April 2025 - September 2026
Brooke had a busy summer volunteering at summer camp. It was a big transition year as she has been a camper since the summer before kindergarten. She did a great job taking care of Kindergarten through 2nd Grade kids each week.
As we wrapped up summer break and 8 weeks of volunteering at camp, Brooke and Jeff were able to take a trip to Pittsburgh to visit family. She went swimming with her cousins, visited the Heinz museum, and played lots of card and board games. The following week school started, and we have been busy ever since.
Brooke started 7th grade in August. She is doing well in school as they are wrapping up the first 9 weeks...which means exam week! It has been a busy few days studying for all five classes. She is excited to start Cooking Club in a few days. They will meet virtually once a month for the entire school year. She has also been taking another Art Class downtown once a week.
In September she took a step in her faith, and she was baptized in one of our church services. She was very excited to let everyone know that Jesus is her Lord and Savior. We are very proud of her. She attended FUGE camp at Regent University in Virginia Beach for a week in June, and she has been very active in our youth group. She's also learned how to run the church sound system and slides for youth services.
2026 has flown by so quickly. The holidays are right around the corner, and we are looking forward to seeing you both in January!
Love,
Jeff, Jenny & Emmalyn Brooke
PS: Brooke isn't having much with having her picture taken!
