EMMALYN BROOKE

Brooke helped us with our most recent Baby Dedication by running the slides and playing the music for dad for the second year in a row.

She finished fourth grade strong ending the year with all A's. Her favorite subjects were Bible and Language Arts. One of the things Brooke did a good job with was learning responsibilities at school (cleaning up at lunch, putting out nap mats, and cleaning her classroom on Friday to be ready for Sunday services).

​

Although we missed out on going to Massanutten since school was still in session, we hung out at Kings Dominion as Jeff's cousin performed there this summer.

​

Summer camp was an action-packed 9 weeks. For the 5th straight year, we enjoyed out time at the USMC Museum!

​

She spent her birthday with her bestie just days before moving away. She decided to go with cupcakes for this birthday...handmade!​

​

Mom was surprised by a strawberry cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. It was a fun evening with pizza, cake, and gifts!

​

She is now a 10 year-old fifth grader who is going to art class once a week, along with getting her first check card (Greenlight). She's been doing chores to earn her own money to give, save, and spend. We're proud of how she is processing what's important and what can wait.
