EMMALYN BROOKE

Brooke enjoyed her Easter basket from the Easter bunny.  She had her own egg hunt at home and spent time with extended family.

She helped us with our most recent Baby Dedication by running the slides and playing the music for dad.  She basically ran the entire sound booth by herself.  

​

She finished third grade strong ending the year with all A's.  It was an adjustment waiting for our church building to be completed and starting a preschool + elementary school in our home.  She did great all year with helping build the church, watching preschoolers and getting good grades. She also enjoyed her last year as a Tenderheart with her American Heritage Girl Troop.  

​

We had a wonderful vacation in the mountains.  Massanutten is one of our favorite places! We love going to the book store, nearby lavender farm and arboretum.  It is a relaxing week, not too far from home.

​

Summer camp was an action-packed 8 weeks.  We had a high school counselor stay with us for 3 of the weeks.  They became fast friends and "sissy's".  Mom and Dad were able to go on a couple of dates since we had a live-in babysitter.

​

She spent her birthday watching dad officiate a wedding downtown.  She can say she celebrated her 9th birthday with cake, dancing, glow sticks and a gelato bar.

​

One of the highlights of her summer was being a flower girl in her cousin's wedding.  It was our 2nd wedding of the summer. She loves her new cousin very much, and the newlyweds spoil her every chance they get.  We met up with them at an arcade and of course, they let Brooke have all of the reward points!

​

Mom's birthday was celebrated at TopGolf.  Brooke beat everyone at least one time.  Now she wants her own set of clubs!  We also spent a Sunday afternoon at a FredNats game.

​

She is now a 9 year-old fourth grader who recently started volunteering in the preschool environment on Sunday mornings.  It's so hard to believe how fast the time flies, and that she will 10 in July!
