April 2020 - September 2020
This year has been so different. We have spent ALOT of time at home. Thankfully, we were able to "quarantine" with a neighbor, so Brooke had a playmate most of the time. Our family vacation was canceled because of COVID. Church has been online for six months, and school is happening at home.
Since we have been home, there has been quite a few art and craft projects. We've made oobleck with cornstarch and water. We upcycled our toilet paper rolls and made homemade bird feeders. She was able to hang the painted bird house from last summer. We have played with kinetic sand, worked on coding with Scratch Jr. and started reading a few chapter books. Brooke loves helping dad build new things for our home. One was a raised garden bed. We planted sunflowers, green bell peppers, tomatoes, carrots, radishes and a few herbs. She is down to one training wheel on her bike that she received for her 6th birthday.
Right now, school is 100% virtual. That may change in the next few weeks, but we still haven't heard for sure. Brooke is excited to officially meet her 1st Grade teacher. They have a lot in common, like, shopping, animals and the beach. Mom has been very involved with virtual school. We even have two friends coming over everyday to work on school together. She loves being able to have recess in the front yard with her friends.

Hope you both are doing well. It's hard to believe it already October and the holidays will be here in no time. Excited to see y'all again in January!

Love,
Jeff, Jenny & Emmalyn Brooke
