July - September 2015
It is hard to believe that summer has officially ended. We spent a lot of time with family and doing a few fun activities with just the three of us. One very exciting thing was Emmalyn Brooke had her first Happy Meal which included chicken nuggets, french fries, a yogurt and a minion toy. We also found out that she loves ice cream.
Her first ice cream experience was at a dairy not too far from our home. Brooke loves the water and had a great time with a few of her cousins at the beach, in the kiddie pool, and on the slip and slide. Well, she pretty much just watched the slip and slide action, but she had great time.
One of the greatest adventures was going to the Hot Air Balloon Festival. There were biplanes and hot air balloons, and boy was it hot! Thankfully, we were able to get some Hawaiian Ice to help us cool down.
Brooke's little personality is starting to really show. She can be a little shy, but she loves to have a good time. Her little giggles will make everyone in the room laugh! She has also learned to sign "please", "thank you", and "bath".
Bathtime is still one of her favorite things along with being outside, playing bubbles and football, reading books on the couch, coloring, wearing every hair bow she owns at one time, trying on shoes, and carrying at least one purse (if not 3) around the house.
She starting taking her first steps at the beginning of August and now she is all over the place. She goes from room to room with her toys, and sometimes she sneaks in her room and makes a huge mess with things from her dresser or the closet. She is definitely on the go and keeping us on our toes. We are excited for Fall and the cooler weather, but not too excited about all of this rain. Hope you are staying dry!
Love,
Jeff, Jenny & Emmalyn Brooke
