EMMALYN BROOKE

Emmalyn Brooke has met alot of family members, friends &  church family in the last several weeks.  We've never had so many visitors in our home!  Along with the visits, she has received many gifts, cards & balloons.  We even receive daily texts from those we love requesting an updated "Picture of the Day". 

 

Brooke has received visits from her Great-Grandparents (Jeff's Grandparents), her PaPaw & G.G. (Jenny's parents), her Grandma (Jeff's mom) and her Auntie (Jeff's sister), who cut her vacation short to come and meet precious Brooke.  Along with PaPaw & G.G., she met her aunts & uncles on Jenny's side of the family and all 6 of her cousins, who could not believe there was a new addition to the family.  There has even been visits from a few of the Great Aunts and Uncles.  Everyone has been extremely supportive and accepting of Brooke. 

 

Our Small Group that meets once a week, gave her a surprise shower.  We had no idea they had anything planned.  Her first Sunday at church was a complete surprise to alot of people, and they were so excited to meet their new little friend.

 

Her first appointment with her new doctor went well.  At 17 days, she was 8 pounds and 4 ounces and 21 inches long.  Her thrush has healed nicely.  We are scheduled for another wellness visit in September.  According to the doctor, everything looks great!

 

Brooke loves to spend time in her swing and also in her Boppy Pillow.  Riding in the car is very calming for her, and she often catches a nice nap in the back seat.  She really enjoys be outside.  If we can't make it for a stroll at the park, we will take a nice little walk around the property.

 

We have been praying for both of you over the last several weeks.  It is our prayer that this update will be helpful to you, and that God will give you the stength and comfort that you may need.
