EMMALYN BROOKE

Emmalyn Brooke has grown so much over the past several months.  She no longer needs blankets to help her sit up in her exersaucer.  She started rolling over from her back to her stomach. (She still get stucks on her belly.)  We have caught her sucking her toes!  She loves books, although she mainly chews them these days.  She graduated from the kitchen sink to the bathtub during bathtime.  She loves to kick her legs and get water everywhere!  We've had several people compliment her sweet disposition, beautiful smile and how she rarely cries. 

 

In October we took our first trip to the Pumpkin Patch.  We went during the week so there wouldn't be a huge crowd.  Everyone was so excited to see such a tiny baby.  She really was the cutest pumpkin in the patch.  For Halloween, we went to church with Brooke's cousins for the annual Trunk or Treat.  They made sure she had plenty of candy in her basket.  Of course, it was mostly sour candy or cocunut.  Good thing her parents aren't picky when it comes to sugar!

 

November was filled with early Christmas shopping and visits from family.  Auntie (Jeff's sister) came for an entire week to play and cuddle.  Grammy (Jeff's mom) came for several days as well.  The girls went Black Friday shopping while Brooke stayed home with Dad & Great-Grandpap.

 

December was our turn to travel.  Our first trip was to the mall to see Santa Claus.  She did great!  Not one tear, and her most exciting moment was when they brought out a book to read with Santa. She absolutely LOVES books!  We spent a few days in Pennsylvania for an early Christmas with Grammy and Grandpap (Jeff's mom and dad).  We traveled home for a couple of days to pick up Ginger and get ready for another trip to see Papaw and GG (Jenny's parents), along with aunts, uncles and cousins.

 

We are looking forward to the New Year and hope you are as well.  We will see you on the 10th!!!
