October 2017 - March 2018
Ever since preschool started, we have been busy, busy, busy. Brooke still enjoys learning. She loves to "read" and write. At school, she had learned to write the alphabet up to the letter "v". Thursday Show and Tell is always fun!
In the fall, we enjoyed trick or treating with some of our friends from church, the pumpkin patch and seeing our little turkey in the Thanksgiving Tea.
At Christmas time, she loved coming home to dance with Olaf on the front porch. She would even sing to him. It was so cute! Her class performed a Christmas Program, and to our surprise, she was Mary. Since Christmas Eve was on Sunday, we started the day at church, had fun with the photo booth, then raced to see mom's family near Virginia Beach. It was a fun few days with grandparents, aunts and uncles and of course all the cousins. The smallest ones in the family took a trip to the VA Beach Christmas Lights on the Boardwalk. It is a yearly tradition we have been doing for years.
After the holidays, Brooke learned how to use washable paint. We have already used all 8 containers of paint. Now, she really likes to paint her own nails. Mom and Dad are not as excited about that :) She was also busy helping dad build a new kitchen table and work on some woodwork projects for church. However, she did not like the sound of the power tools. She very seriously told him, "Dad, that is too loud! Could you please be a little quieter?"
Valentines Day was filled with lots of love and candy! Daddy gave her a new Belle dress complete with a tiara, necklace and fancy gloves. She even met Belle at one of the local events around town. We spent some time at the park feeding the Canadian Geese. They can get a little feisty so we have not tried that again!
Two of our favorite events was celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday! She picked out her favorite book from home, then we headed off to the library to play a few games, get a face painting and make several crafts. Last but not least, was the 16 hour power outage! We camped in the living with the fireplace on and in less than an hour of going to bed, the power came back on! Oh well! It is a fun memory.
Hope y'all are doing well! We are praying for you both. See you in a few months when we celebrate the big 4 year old birthday!!

Love,
Jeff, Jenny & Emmalyn Brooke
