EMMALYN BROOKE

Can you believe Brooke has started preschool?  She loves going to the Penguin Class each week.  She has learned 3 letters so far; A, B & C.  She recognizes them, and she is beginning to write them.  Each week she brings home a painting that she has done, and she comes home singing new songs that she has learned at music class. 

 

In June we spent a few days at Myrtle Beach.  She had a great time playing in the sand.  We even added a sandbox to her playground in the back yard.  She calls it her beach. 

 

She is still very creative.  She loves to play with playdoh, color, and help daddy build things in the garage.  She even helped replace the glass in our kitchen window.  Well, sort of, basically she just wore her toolbelt.  She also likes to help bake in the kitchen.  She spent a few hours recently with her Great Aunt, Great Grandma and Grammie cooking all sorts of goodies in the kitchen.  Mom and Dad were the photographers.

She has also discovered the full length mirror.  We catch her talking to herself or admiring her amazing outfit.  She has a thing for clothes, boots and hats.  You never know what she will end up wearing for the day.  She does a pretty good job matching her tops with her pants or shorts.  Although she still loves to wear her Princess Sophia dress whenever she gets the chance.

We are excited for fall and visits to the pumpkin patch.  She is kind of sad that dad isn't playing flag football this year.  She loved going to practice and to the games.
