October - December 2015

First of all, we want to apologize for a being a few days later than we normally are with this update. With all the holidays, company, traveling and shopping, time flew by over the last few weeks and before we realized, it was already January 3rd.

Emmalyn Brooke has kept us on our toes the last several months.  She runs all over the house and loves to have our undivided attention, which of course we do not mind one bit!  Her favorite activities these days include coloring, reading her books, playing with her babies and her Lambie, pounding away on her new piano, wearing her helmet and sitting on her tricycle.  She has really improved with using her fork and spoon to feed herself.  She absolutely loves yogurt, and she will point to the refrigerator when she is ready to use her spoon to eat it.

In October, she took her first plane ride to Dallas, TX. She did great!  Everyone was complimenting her good behavior.  Dad had a conference, and we went along for the fun.  Brooke met a few of our friends from our time in Texas, and we were able to meet a few new additions to their families as well.  We had a great time with friends at the State Fair of Texas. When we returned home, we took a trip to the Pumpkin Patch.  She loved the animals, the hay ride, and the hot dog she ate for lunch.  For Trunk or Treat (aka Halloween), she dressed up as a strawberry.  She was so cute and had a great time walking around to all the different cars, passing out candy to the kids who walked by our car, and dancing in the parking lot with her friends.

In November, we had family come in for Thanksgiving.  It was a week of playing and getting to know lots of people.  Brooke even helped cook breakfast on Thanksgiving morning.  There was a Tea Party/Bridal Shower for her soon be aunt.  It was a great time for all the girls in the familiy.  We also celebrated Christmas with Dad's family, and she has been opening presents ever since.  Seriously, she just opened another one today!

In December, we were decorating for Christmas. Brooke loves her own little tree.  She plays with the ornaments every single day.  We visited Mom's family for the week of Christmas.  On Christmas Eve, we attended Candlelight Communion at Papaw & GG's church.  In the middle of communion, Brooke points to the stage and says REALLY loud, "PAPAW!!"  Everyone giggled :)

It is already January, and we are getting ready to start swim lessons in a few days!  What a difference a year makes.  She was so tiny last year in that huge pool!  We can't wait to see how she does this year in her Bumble Bee swimsuit.

I almost forgot, we had some family photos taken Thanksgiving weekend.  You can check them out under the Professional Photos tab.

Hope you had a great holiday season, and we will see you soon!

Love,

Jeff, Jenny & Emmalyn Brooke
