October 2021 - March 2022
Brookie is doing well in school. It's hard to believe she is almost finished with 2nd grade. She has enjoyed being in book club this year and reading The Wild Robot. Her report cards have been great this year. Not only is she a great student, she is a great friend. Her teacher calls her a "walking angel" because she listens and helps others when she can. She's also been known to comfort others when they are having a hard time. We have spent several weekends recently at birthday parties either at a local park or a jump park.

Brooke is also very comfortable with her adoption story. She tells her friends regularly that she has a birth mom and a birth dad. She told them all about ice skating, and how she missed her birth dad, but he moved to a different state and wasn't able to come.

We hope you enjoy all the pictures. She has grown so much this last year. She's so excited about our new church building being built and loves to collect rocks when we go to see the progress. She's looking forward to summer and going to camp. She is always looking for fun things to do at summer camp and gives her dad all kinds of suggestions.

She LOVES all the crafts. From painting to baking to working on her fairy garden. Since Christmas she has made a blanket, learned to scrapbook, made soaps and bath bombs as well as tie-dyed and marbleized zipper pouches. She joined a local American Heritage Girl troop and attends most Thursday nights. She's learned about colonial times and will be attending a fancy tea party with her troop in a few weeks.

She sure keeps us busy with playdates, parties, troop and school events.

We hope you both are doing well. We pray for you both each week.

Love,
Jeff, Jenny & Emmalyn Brooke
