October 2020 - March 2021
Hey, y'all! Not much has changed since this time last year. We are still spending a good amount of time at home. Brooke has been attending in-person school two days a week since October, except for the three weeks we had to isolate/quarantine because of COVID. Thankfully, she never had any symptoms and has been healthy all year long.

In two weeks, she will start attending school in-person four days a week. We have enjoyed doing virtual school with several friends from her school. For the first half of the year, she had two friends that would come over everyday. We added two more friends in February. All of them are six years old. Four are in first grade and one is in kindergarten. It gets kind of crazy over here during the week. Some days are filled with school work, and other days they get to help us with ministry things like shopping and packing Thanksgiving meals. We've taken a few "field trips" to the park, library and to get a special ice cream.

Over spring break, we were able to do a few fun activities around town. We visited Gari Melchers Estate at Belmont. (He was a famous artist and his estate is in Falmouth.) She really loves art and history. We were the only visitors on site, and they loved showing her the house and art gallery. She also really wants to go back to Mt. Vernon. We all had a great time that day. She loved going to a trampoline park with our friends. One of their daughters worked there and hooked her up with all kinds of freebies. Their other daughter hung out with Brooke the entire time. And two hours of jumping was not enough for her! It was neat to see her with a sweet family that had a huge part in walking through the adoption process with us. We don't see them very often, but they have always spoiled her; especially when they planned one of her many baby showers.

Hope you both are doing well. It's crazy how the weather was so warm and now it's so cold again!
Stay warm and we will talk to you soon!

Love,
Jeff, Jenny & Emmalyn Brooke
