October 2019 - March 2020
Whew! What a crazy year it has been. In October, we visited several different farms and took a drive to the mountains to see the leaves. Brooke also lost several teeth in the fall. We called her "Jack-o-lantern" for a while, BUT she made a cuter Minnie Mouse for Trick or Treating on Halloween night.

Dad is a FCA Football Coach at a local school. We went to the Championship Game in November and his team WON!!! Within 5 minutes of being home, Brooke feel in the kitchen, we rushed her to Urgent Care and she received her 1st set of stitches! Everything healed nicely just a small scar on her chin.

Some of her favorite gifts from Christmas were her Scruff-a-luvs, Barbie helicopter and new camera. She even had her picture taken with the Chick-fil-A cow, which was surprising since she doesn't normally like those kind of costumes.

In January we were still waiting for a good snow, so we made our own homemade snow with Baking Soda and Conditioner. It was a lot of fun and smelled like Juicy Apples. A few days later we had a real snow storm. She got out of school just in time to miss PE!!

Brooke has done very well in Kindergarten. Her report cards are mostly filled with 3's or 3+ marks. Apparently, 4's aren't given out because that would mean perfection. She is currently reading on a 2nd grade level. While they were in school, they were penpals with another kindergarten class in CA. For Spirit Week, she dressed up as Fox in Socks for Dr. Seuss Day and had crazy hair for Crazy Hair Day. Sadly, she was sick for a couple days and missed the last two days.

Before the quarantine days, she enjoyed some doughnuts from Krispy Kreme and had a date night with dad.

Learning at Home is going well. She seems to love it more than school although she misses her friends. We have been doing a lot of Art, riding bikes, going on hikes in the woods and using that camera from Christmas. A few of her favorite at home activities have been making a turtle mug out of clay, homemade popsicles and brownie waffles. We are really hoping the stay at home is lifted early. Not so sure about staying home until JUNE!!!

Hope you both are doing well! Praying for you guys. Hoping to see you in person in the summer!

Love,
Jeff, Jenny & Emmalyn Brooke
